Toy Modification Class by Lily Black August 18 2012
Toy Modification taught by Lily Black. The many diverse techniques of toy fabrication/modification are made incredibly simple in this class. Class is August 18th, 12:30-3:00pm *Classes are non-refundable but transferable.

Study the many diverse techniques of toy fabrication/modification made simple in this class. Lily reviews the history of toy modification and demonstrates basic and complex toy model techniques. Students get to practice what they see on a complimentary mini Munny and start designing their own toy in the introductory class. After a few weeks to start creating your custom toy, the class then meets at a follow-up time for problem-solving, picking Lily’s brain to attempt new ideas and sharing your in progress toy that we feature on our website!
*Ages 14+ welcome or accompanied by a chaperone
*$65/person (Class is 2.5 hrs followed by 1 hr follow-up session at a later date)
*Classes are non-refundable but transferable to another student
*Class occurs August 18th, 12:30-3:00pm
*Follow-Up Class occurs September 15th, 4-5:30pm (email classes@1AMSF.com if you have conflict with follow-up class date).
About Lily Black:
Lily Black, besides making fabulous new outfits and limbs for her own collection of Hello Kitty and Darth Vader toys, graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1999 with a degree in Sculpture. After a series of art instruction and toy design jobs for clients ranging from Sony to the Oakland Public School System to television station KDOL, she also authored The Skeleton under the male pseudonym Spike Milliken. She has finally returned to her true love, teaching toy modification.
Lily Black can be described in many words, but ordinary is most definitely not one of them. His love for customizing toys has made him one of our resident artist as well as our teacher for our Toy Modification class. In his class, Lily reviews the history of toy modification and demonstrates basic and complex toy model techniques. Students get to practice what they see on a complimentary mini Munny and start designing their own toy. All basic materials are provided.
